Arriving by Car

PACCAR Scout Camp is easy to find following Google maps directions! The postcode to enter is: SL9 0QJ

The site is directly off Denham Lane and PACCAR have excellent signs at the entrance, which are lit at night.

On arrival you will be directed to the parking area. There is a large car park as well as additional overflow parking. If needed you can temporarily park at the entrance to the camping area in our 'drop off area' whilst you unpack your vehicle. There are also trolleys to make use of too to make transporting your kit light work!

If possible we advise car sharing to lessen our environmental impact - when bookings open you will be able to see if there is anyone near to you with seats to spare.

Arriving by Train

We will be running free regular shuttle buses between Gerrards Cross train station and site. The journey takes just six minutes! There's no need to book onto a shuttle bus, they will be running continuously on the Friday evening so just hop on the next one that arrives. On Sunday there will be free return shuttles operating in the same manner.

Gerrards Cross is on the Chiltern Mainline, with services to/ from Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Oxford, Birmingham and London Marylebone.

Trains run roughly every 20 to 30 minutes to/from London.

Please note Gerrards Cross is not in the London fare zones, so you will need to buy a normal train ticket if traveling from London Marylebone. Advanced tickets for your full journey, including to Gerrards Cross, should be available online.

If you are planning on arriving very late into the evening we advise you to inform our logistics team via email in advance of the weekend to arrange a lift: logistics@amalgam.ssago.org

For cheaper tickets we advise that you book in advance, consider split tickets and look into Scouting/Guiding member discounts.

Wish to avoid London?

If you are traveling from the Midlands or the North we recomend you change at either Birmingham or Oxford. Please note that not all trains stop at Gerrard Cross so you may also need to change at High Wycombe.

If you are trading from the South check out our minibus services from Orpington, Redhill and Southampton.
