Opening Ceremony

A short ceremony to officially mark the start of Amalgam and welcome you to the event.

Zip Wire

This is a high adrenaline activity with a twist! Enjoy this forest adventure as the twin zip wires traverse the valley which runs through the woodland, over 170m of high speed adrenaline fuelled fun!

Evening Zip Wire

This zip wire is lit! And by that we mean that you can fly through the forest in the dark, thanks to a trail of lights to illuminate your path. Enjoy this forest adventure as the twin zip wires traverse the valley which runs through the woodland, over 170m of high speed adrenaline fuelled fun!

SSAGO Archives

Immerse yourself in history with a visit to our archives, a fantastic mini-exhibition displayed by our SSAGO archivist, Charlotte! This activity is unsupervised, more treasured items will be on display later in the day.

Talk to the archivist

Get your burning questions about SSAGO history answered and take a look at some of SSAGO's most treasured items. Charlotte, our SSAGO archivist, will be on hand throughout this session.

London Museums

Take a trip out to London and enjoy the exhibits in the capitals exciting museums! We'll be dropping you by the Natural History Museum and Science Museum, but feel free to wander over to other local museums (as long as you're back ready to be picked up!)

Ceilidh

The SSAGO classic, a gender neutral ceilidh for everyone to enjoy, need we say anymore?

Long Hike- Chiltern Hills

If you fancy a long hike away from the hustle and bustle of camp, the long hike might just be for you!

High All Aboard

You'll need to be a team player for this activity, as you and your team must first scale a 10m pole before placing your trust in those around you and lean outwards over a rather large drop. Not an activity for the faint hearted!

Quick Drop

Experience the thrill of a free-fall! Step off the edge of a 10 metre platform and drop to the ground, designed to feel like jumping out of a plane. This is the ultimate adrenaline rush.

Follow in the steps of royalty and explore the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world

Activity Bazaar!

Dip in and out of the many activities on the activity field. A repeat of some activities from Saturday for those who went off site as well as some brand new activities, such as classic silly games, too. The individual activities are not bookable on Saturday so you can see how you feel and how much energy you have to burn!

A Brief History of SSAGO - Talk and Q&A

The story of SSAGO starts with the creation of The Scouts and Girlguiding. We'll be traveling through time to see how SSAGO became the organisation it is today. The talk will be led by Larah who was SSAGO's archivist 2017 - 2021, followed by a Q&A.
